Unique license file

Each VIBRA has been equipped with a unique license file. The license file functions as a key to the VIBRA
in order to prevent unauthorized access to the system and the measuring data. However, you will always
be able to read out the VIBRA with a PC or laptop to avoid undesired problems in the field, but the
downloaded data can only be viewed in combination with the license file.
The license file can be used on any PC, but may also be placed in a PC-network in order to enable
automatic access for all the users in your company. Several users may use the VIBRA PC software
simultaneously.
Please note: Profound BV provides the license file only once. Distributing the file to third parties enables
them to access your system.

Installation: PC software, licence file, driver

Please follow the steps below once to enable communication between the VIBRA and a Windows
1. Install the VIBRA PC software. Insert the Profound software CD into the drive of your PC or laptop.
The wizard to install new software will automatically start up. If not, manually select and run the file
setup.exe. The software will automatically be installed in the directory \Program Files\Profound\Vibra.
The software may also be placed in a PC-network. PC's connected to the network PC can use the
software simultaneously.
2. Copy the license file (extension *.lic) to the required directory. Depending of the number of
VIBRA's and the kind of user, several options are available:
- Local user:
a) 1 VIBRA: Copy the license file from the Profound CD to any directory on your local hard
disk, preferably in the same directory as the PC software (VIBRA.exe). Default installation
directory is: C:\Program Files\Profound\Vibra.

b) more than one VIBRA:
Combine the license files from the delivered Profound CDs in 1 license file (extension *.lic).
You can copy the code and combine them in one file using a simple text program, like
Microsoft WordPad. Then you only place the new license file in a directory at your local

drive, preferably in the same directory as the PC software (VIBRA.exe). The standard
installation directory is: C:\Program Files\Profound\Vibra.
