Option 'Date and Time'
The VIBRA is equipped with a quartz-clock to accurately keep track of time and date. This is a requirement
for vibration monitoring, since it is essential to know exactly when certain "vibration events" have taken
place. Select Date and Time in the main menu and activate by pressing OK.
Date and time can be changed with the arrow keys. Normally, the time only needs to be adjusted when
crossing time zones or when wintertime goes over into summer time (and vice versa). The internal
calendar of the VIBRA keeps track of the various months and the leap years.
The data and time can easily be set via the Change Settings Dialog in the PC software. The moment the
measurement settings are sent to the VIBRA, the system also adopt the PC time.

Option 'Display Contrast'
This option is used to adapt the contrast of the display. The display of the VIBRA is a Liquid Crystal Display
(LCD). The contrast of normal LCDs is influenced by temperature. By registering the temperature, the
VIBRA will compensate the contrast automatically in case the temperature changes.
Corrections made are such that the optimal readability of the display is guaranteed. However, users may
have an individual preference with regard to this aspect. With this option you can define your preference.
Upon entering this option, the following screen will appear on the VIBRA:
With the -key the number is ascended by 1 and the text will become brighter. The same applies to
the -key, only then the number is descended by 1 and the text becomes darker. It is possible to
choose from 41 options, between -20 and +20.
