S C A L E ILLUM/PULL T R A C E ROTA Control
S C A L E ILLUM: Controls intensity of the graticule on the
C R T .
If the illumination is too bright, halation may be caused
in photography. In such a case, rotate this knob to con-
trol intensity.
Note: If the M O D E selector © is set to S I N G L E , the
scale illumination lights up for approx. 1 second
for every s w e e p .
T R A C E R O T A : Changes inclination of the horizontal
trace line. Used when the trace is tilt-
ed by terrestrial magnetism, etc.

FOCUS/PULL A S T I G Control
F O C U S : A d j u s t s the focus for optimum waveform ob-
servation.
A S T I G : Adjusts, in the pulled-out position, astigmatism
of the trace or spot for optimum waveform ob-
servation. The spot is round if astigmatism is
properly adjusted.
®
READOUT INTEN Control
Adjusts intensity of the R E A D O U T values. Full clock-
w i s e rotation maximizes intensity. Full counterclock-
w i s e rotation turns off the readout function
disappears R E A D O U T values.

A INTEN/PULL B INTEN Control
A INTEN: Controls intensity of the A s w e e p trace line.
Also controls intensity of X - Y operation.
B INTEN: Controls intensity of the B s w e e p trace line,
in pulled-out position.

C A L 1 V p - p « 1 kHz Terminal
Outputs 1 kHz positive square w a v e of 1.0 Vp-p for
calibration. Prior to using this terminal, be sure to c o m -
pensate a probe prior to be used. If improperly compen-
sated, it will not provide correct measurement.

CH1 Input Jack
Vertical axis input terminal of channel 1 . Also s e r v e s
as the Y - a x i s input terminal in the X - Y operation.
©
CH2 or X Input Jack
Vertical axis input terminal of channel 2 . Also s e r v e s
as the X - a x i s and Y - a x i s input terminal in the X - Y
operation.
©
CH3 Input Jack
Vertical axis input terminal of channel 3 . Also s e r v e s
as the Y - a x i s input terminal in the X - Y operation.
CH4 Input Jack
©
Vertical axis input terminal of channel 4 . Also s e r v e s
as the Y - a x i s input terminal in the X - Y operation.

VERTICAL MODE Switches
Select operation modes of the vertical a x i s . By press-
and
ing a s w i t c h , the corresponding L E D lights up to indi-
cate that the mode is selected. B y pressing a lighting
s w i t c h , its L E D goes out and the mode becomes un-
selected.
