CH1 | POSITION Control
Rotation adjusts vertical position of C H 1 waveform on
the screen. In X - Y operation, rotation adjusts vertical
position of display.

CH1 V O L T S / D I V Control
Vertical attenuator for channel 1 . Provides step adjust-
ment of vertical sensitivity in 1-2-5 sequence. V A R I -
A B L E control
is turned to the C A L position, the
calibrated vertical sensitivity is obtained. In X - Y opera-
tion, this control s e r v e s a s the attenuator for Y - a x i s .

CH1 VARIABLE Control
Rotation provides fine control of channel 1 vertical sen-
sitivity. In the fully c l o c k w i s e ( C A L ) position, the verti-
cal attenuator is calibrated. In X - Y operation, this control
serves a s the Y - a x i s attenuation fine adjustment.

CH1 AC-GND-DC Switch
This s w i t c h is the C H 1 vertical axis coupling mode
selector, for X - Y operation, the Y - a x i s coupling mode
control.
A C :
A C input coupling with blocking of any DC sig-
nal component.
GND:
Vertical amplifier is disconnected from the in-
put signal and connected to ground. T h i s mode
is useful in determining the zero reference.
D C :
DC coupling, with both the DC and A C com-
ponents of the input signal displayed on the C R T .

CH1 INPUT jack
Vertical input for channel 1 trace in normal s w e e p oper-
ation. Y - a x i s input for X - Y operation.

• C H 2 P O S I T I O N :

INV:
Push-pull s w i t c h selects channel 2 signal in-
verted (PULL INV) w h e n pulled out.

CH2 AC-GND-DC Switch
Three-position lever s w i t c h w h i c h operates a s follows:
A C :
Blocks DC component of channel 2 input signal.
GND:
Opens signal path and grounds input to vertical
amplifier. T h i s provides a zero-signal base line,
the position of which can be used a s a reference
w h e n performing D C measurements.
D C :
Direct input of A C and D C component of chan-
nel 2 input signal.
