2. Cursor Measurement
AVI:
By selecting C H 1 of the V E R T I C A L MODE © and
V 1 of the C U R S O R S © , t w o horizontal cursors
are displayed on the C R T , and voltage difference
between the t w o cursors is calculated based on
setting of the C H 1 V O L T S / D I V @ and displayed
in the upper right of the C R T . If the C H 1 V A R I A -
B L E © is not set to the C A L position, voltage ra-
tio is displayed.
Move cursors to positions to be measured with
the AREF (28) and A (§).
AV2:
By selecting C H 2 of the V E R T I C A L MODE © and
AV2 of the C U R S O R S @ , voltage difference or
voltage ratio between cursors based on setting
of the C H 2 V O L T S / D I V © is displayed in the up-
per right of the C R T , similarly to AV\
urement.
AV3:
By selecting C H 3 of the V E R T I C A L MODE © ,
with C H 2 unselected, as well as AV\ of the CUR-
S O R S @ , t w o horizontal cursors are displayed,
and voltage difference between the cursors cal-
culated based on setting of the C H 3 0 . 5 V / 0 . 1 V
(24) is displayed in the upper right of the C R T .
AM A:
By selecting C H 4 of the V E R T I C A L MODE © ,
with C H 2 unselected, as well as AV2 of the CUR-
S O R S © , voltage difference between the cursors
c a l c u l a t e d
based on
0 . 5 V / 0 . 1 V © is displayed in the upper right of
the C R T .
AT:
By selecting AT of the C U R S O R S @ , t w o verti-
cal cursors are displayed on the C R T and time
difference between cursors calculated based on
the s w e e p scale factor in the lower right of the
C R T is displayed in the upper right of the C R T .
If the S W E E P T I M E is not the C A L condition, time
ratio is displayed.
1 /AT:
By selecting 11 AT of the C U R S O R @ , t w o verti-
cal cursors are displayed on the C R T and frequen-
cy b e t w e e n cursors calculated based on the
s w e e p scale factor in the lower right of the C R T
is displayed in the upper right of the C R T . If the
S W E E P T I M E is not the C A L condition, phase
difference is displayed.

[6] CURSOR MEASUREMENT
1 . AM Cursor Measurement Mode with V E R T I C A L MODE
Switches © AV\ to AV4 cursor measurement modes are
selected depending on setting of the V E R T I C A L M O D E
switches © s h o w n below. For example, if the channel-2
single-trace is selected under the condition where C H 1
of the V E R T I C A L MODE © and z l V I of the C U R S O R S
have been selected, the cursor measurement mode
changes from AV\ into AM2 automatically. If an unselec-
table cursor measurement mode is selected, the LED of
the mode keeps lighting for approx. 1 second and then
the previous state is restored.
In the cursor measurement mode AV\, order of the ver-
tical mode priority is C H 1 , C H S , and A D D . In the cursor
measurement mode AV2, the order of priority is C H 2 and
C H 4 . The cursor measurement mode is set to that of
higher priority.

a)
In case A of H O R I Z O N T A L MODE s w i t c h e s is
selected
The normal cursor measurement mode can be e x -
ecuted.
b)
In case A INT B , A L T , or X - Y of the H O R I Z O N T A L
MODE s w i t c h e s is selected
The AT and 11 AT cursor measurement modes are im-
possible. The L E D lights up for approx. 1 second by
a press of the s w i t c h , and then goes out to indicate
that pressing the s w i t c h is invalid.
c)
In case B of HORIZONTAL MODE switches is selected
The AT and MAT cursor measurement modes are
possible. Pressing the s w i t c h turns on the LED to in-
dicate that the mode has been selected and displays
the cursor measurement mode on the C R T . Deac-
tivating the cursor measurement mode displays D E -
