3)
Adjust the 1 0 % point to a vertical graduation line with
the
P O S I T I O N control. Measure the horizontal dis-
tance between the 1 0 % and 9 0 % points. Multiply this
horizontal distance by the S W E E P T I M E / D I V setting.
NOTE: T h e C R T provides graduation lines representing
0, 1 0 , 9 0 , and 1 0 0 % , where 5 divisions =
1 0 0 % . These lines should be used for this meas-
urement.

[EXAMPLE]
In the example s h o w n in Fig. 0 0 , measured horizontal
distance is 3 . 3 divisions. If S W E E P T I M E / D I V setting
is 2 /is/div,
Rise time = 3 . 3 (div) x 2 (/xs/div) = 6.6 /xs
Rise time and fall time can also be measured by chang-
ing item 3) above a s follows:
4 )
Adjust the 1 0 % point to the center vertical graduation
line w i t h the -< • P O S I T I O N , and measure the horizon-
tal distance to the point that crosses the center horizon-
tal line. Let this distance be D i . T h e n , adjust the 9 0 %
point to the center vertical graduation line with the •< •
P O S I T I O N , and measure the horizontal distance to a
point that crosses the horizontal graduation line like-
w i s e . Let this distance be D2.
The total horizontal distance is then Di + D 2 . Multiply
this total distance by the S W E E P T I M E / D I V setting.
Rise time = (Di + D

[EXAMPLE]
In the example s h o w n in Fig. 0 0 , the measured Di is
1.6 divisions while D

Rise time = ( 1 . 6 + 1 . 4 ) ( d i v ) x 2 (^s/div) = 6 us
(2) Cursor Measurement Procedures
1)
Adjust amplitude of the displayed w a v e f o r m to 5 divi-
sions through the normal procedures above. Control the
t POSITION so that the crest and trough of the w a v e
are set to the 0 % and 1 0 0 % points respectively.
2)
Select the AT cursor mode w i t h the C U R S O R S .
3)
Align the AREF cursor to the point where the waveform
to be measured crosses the 1 0 % graduation line and
the idcursor to the point w h e r e the w a v e f o r m crosses
the 9 0 % graduation line.
4)
Measured value is displayed following AT in the upper
right of the C R T .
