Example: T h e above example s h o w s a case where both
the A S L O P E and B S L O P E are set to positive
( + ).
If a set value w i t h the A S W E E P T I M E / D I V is
too slow for the above adjustment, set the
H O R I Z O N T A L M O D E s w i t c h e s to A , set the A
S W E E P T I M E / D I V to a faster value enough for
adjustment,
set the
s w i t c h e s to A INT B, carry out adjustment to
obtain the condition s h o w n in " B L E V E L Set-
t i n g "
above, and then set the A S W E E P
T I M E / D I V to a slower value again.
e)
On completion of the above setting, select A L T of
the H O R I Z O N T A L M O D E s w i t c h e s , and set a count
value of pulse or other w a v e f o r m to be measured
with the D E L A Y P O S I T I O N .
NOTE: Measurable range of the T R I G COUNT is from
1 to 1 0 0 0 counts. If a count value larger than
the number of pulses of the A s w e e p signal
is set, the B s w e e p is not displayed. There-
fore, set a count value smaller than the num-
ber of pulses of the A s w e e p signal.

[4] X-Y OPERATION
Operation as an X - Y oscilloscope provides phase difference
measurement, etc.
Select X - Y of the H O R I Z O N T A L MODE s w i t c h e s (§). Out-
put signal from the C H 2 or X connector is used as the X -
axis (horizontal axis).
Adjust positions of the X - a x i s and Y - a x i s with the
SITION control (§) and the C H 1 T POSITION to C H 4 £ PO-
SITION controls ©, © , (23), and (25) respectively.
Sensitivity of
the
X - a x i s
V O L T S / D I V and V A R I A B L E controls in the X - Y operation.
That of the Y-axis is adjusted with the V O L T S / D I V and V A R I -
A B L E controls for channels 1 to 4 .
When X - Y is selected, the V O L T S / D I V value of channel 2
is displayed on the C R T ; the s w e e p range disappears and
C H 2 - X is displayed instead. All L E D s of T R I G G E R I N G indi-
cation go out.
[5] READOUT OPERATION
1. Readout Value on C R T
Rotation of the R E A D O U T INTEN @ displays values on
the C R T . Adjust their intensity as necessity requires.
Scale factors of C H 1 to C H 4 are displayed depending on
setting of the V E R T I C A L MODE switches © . If A D D , CH2
INV, or 2 0 MHz B W L is selected, the corresponding dis-
play is provided. A C coupling and GND are displayed for
CH1 and C H 2 . In the lower right of the C R T , the scale
factor set with the S W E E P T I M E / D I V control © is dis-
played.
The calendar, cursor measurement mode, delayed sweep
mode, cursor measurement value, delayed s w e e p time,
and set value with the T R I G C O U N T are displayed in the
upper part of the C R T .
N O T E : T h e calendar and clock are not displayed on the
C R T if their functions are deactivated. For their
setting, refer to the maintenance and adjustment
instructions.
If the readout values are displayed, a real-time
w a v e f o r m may be intensity-modulated. In such
a case, rotate the R E A D O U T INTEN control ® ful-
ly counterclockwise; the readout function is deac-
tivated and intensity-modulation on the real-time
w a v e disappears.
