A C :
T h e B s w e e p trigger signal is applied to the
trigger circuit by A C coupling. D C compo-
nent is eliminated.
NOISE REJ: T h e B s w e e p trigger signal with reduced
trigger sensitivity is applied to the trigger cir-
cuit. Therefore, trigger signal with noises
can cause triggering stably.
H F REJ:
T h e B s w e e p trigger signal is applied to the
trigger circuit via a low-pass filter. Since
high-frequency components are attenuated,
low-frequency
stably.
DC:
T h e B s w e e p trigger signal is applied to the
trigger circuit by DC coupling, enabling trig-
gering including D C component.
T V LINE:
Triggered by the horizontal synchronizing
signal of the video signals.
(§)
B TRIGGERING L E V E L (B LEVEL) Control
Trigger level control of B s w e e p . S e t s a s w e e p start
point on a slope of the trigger signal waveform. Trig-
ger level adjustment is unnecessary if the B COUPLING
s w i t c h (§) is set to T V LINE, or T R I G G E R I N G MODE
s w i t c h e s @ is set to F I X .
®
B TRIGGERING S O U R C E (B SOURCE) Selector Switch
and LEDs
Selects a trigger source of B s w e e p . Every press of the
• s w i t c h a d v a n c e s a selected LED from left to right in
sequence. Next to A F T . D , C H 1 is selected. (A select-
ed L E D a d v a n c e s at the interval of approx. 0 . 5 second
by keeping pressing the switch.)
C H 1 :
B s w e e p is triggered by channel-1 vertical axis
input signal.
C H 2 :
B s w e e p is triggered by channel-2 vertical axis
input signal.
C H 3 :
B s w e e p is triggered by channel-3 vertical axis
input signal.
C H 4 :
B s w e e p is triggered by channel-4 vertical axis
input signal.
A F T . D : T h e B Start After Delay s w e e p mode is select-
ed. B s w e e p starts after a delay time set with
the A S W E E P T I M E / D I V @ and D E L A Y P O S I -
TION control (38) has passed.
N O T E : If any of C H 1 to C H 4 is selected, the
triggered delay mode is selected: B
s w e e p
is triggered by the first trigger
pulse after a delay time set with the DE-
L A Y POSITION control. A
mark ( ? ) is displayed posterior to D E -
L A Y on the C R T .
@
B TRIGGERING S L O P E (B SLOPE) Switch
Selects triggering polarity of the B s w e e p . Pressing the
s w i t c h turns on the L E D and selects triggering at the
trailing edge of input w a v e f o r m . Another press of the
s w i t c h turns off the L E D and selects triggering at the
leading edge of input w a v e f o r m .
N O T E : If the T V F R A M E or LINE of the A C O U P L I N G
s w i t c h (§) is selected, the B S L O P E is set to the
s a m e condition as the A S L O P E . If the A
C O U P L I N G s w i t c h (§) is set to another one, the
previous condition is restored.

TRIGGERING MODE (TRIG MODE) Selector Switches
and LEDs
S w i t c h e s and L E D s used to select the trigger operation
modes.
A U T O / N O R M : Pressing the s w i t c h turns on the L E D
and selects the automatic mode. S w e e p
is triggered by the trigger signal. A b -
sence of the trigger signal causes free
running and displays a trace line.
Another press of the s w i t c h turns off
the L E D and selects the normal mode.
S w e e p is triggered by the trigger signal.
Different from A U T O , however, no trace
line is displayed if appropriate trigger sig-
nal is provided.
S I N G L E : Pressing the s w i t c h turns on the L E D and
selects the single s w e e p mode. In this mode,
the A s w e e p and B s w e e p cannot be observed
simultaneously.
This switch also serves as the reset switch for
the single s w e e p mode. T o reset setting of the
single s w e e p mode, press the A U T O / N O R M
s w i t c h to set to A U T O .
R E A D Y : By pressing the S I N G L E s w i t c h in the single
s w e e p mode, the ready state is selected and
the L E D lights up, w h i c h remains lighting un-
til s w e e p is completed.
FIX:
Pressing the s w i t c h turns on the L E D and the
A sweep trigger level is fixed. In this case, trig-
gering is made regardless of A L E V E L control
(§) setting.
Another press of the s w i t c h turns off the L E D
and restores the normal condition.
N O T E : In the single s w e e p mode, the AREF or
D E L A Y P O S I T I O N , A,***-
and S W E E P V A R I A B L E controls are
not operable. T h e clock
mode can also be unselectable.

Carrying Handle
This carrying handle is fixable at every 1 5 degrees for
horizontal or tilted installation of the instrument. T h e
attached probe holder shall be put on the metal portion
of the handle.
