C H 1 G N D S w i t c h
Pressing the s w i t c h turns on the L E D , isolates the
channel-1 input signal from the vertical amplifier, and
grounds the vertical amplifier input. By this, the ground
voltage can be checked. Another press of the s w i t c h
turns off the L E D and supplies the channel-1 input sig-
nal to the vertical amplifier.

C H 2 VARIABLE Control
Fine adjustment of the channel-2 vertical axis attenua-
tion. Provides the same function as the CH1 V A R I A -
BLE control © . Also serves as a fine
adjustment
of the X - a x i s and Y - a x i s in the X - Y
operation.
©
CH2 VOLTS/DIV Control
Channel-2 vertical axis attenuator. Provides the same
function as the C H 1 V O L T S / D I V control @ . Also serves
as an attenuator of the X - a x i s and Y - a x i s in the X - Y
operation.
@
CH2 t POSITION Control
Adjusts vertical position of channel-2 waveform dis-
played on the C R T . Also used to adjust the Y - a x i s po-
sition in the X - Y operation.
N O T E : In the X - Y operation, position of the X - a x i s is
adjusted with the

C H 2 A C - D C Switch
Selects coupling of the channel-2 vertical input signal.
Also serves as the input selector of the X - a x i s and Y -
axis in the X - Y operation. Provides the same function
as the C H 1 A C - D C s w i t c h © .
©
CH2 GND Switch
Pressing the s w i t c h turns on the L E D , isolates the
channel-2 input signal from the vertical amplifier, and
grounds the vertical amplifier input. By this, the ground
voltage can be c h e c k e d . Another press of the s w i t c h
turns off the L E D and supplies the channel-2 input sig-
nal to the vertical amplifier.
©
CH3 • POSITION Control
Adjusts vertical position of channel-3 waveform dis-
played on the C R T . Also used to adjust the Y - a x i s po-
sition in the X - Y operation.
®
CH3 0.5 V / 0 . 1 V Switch
Pressing the s w i t c h turns on the L E D and s e t s the ver-
tical axis sensitivity to 0 . 5 V/div. Another press of the
s w i t c h turns off the LED and s e t s the vertical axis sen-
sitivity to 0.1 V/div. Also serves as the Y - a x i s attenu-
ator in the X - Y operation.
©
CH4 • POSITION Control
Adjusts vertical position of channel-4 waveform dis-
played on the C R T . Also used to adjust the Y - a x i s po-
sition in the X - Y operation.
©
CH4 0.5 V / 0 . 1 V Switch
Vertical attenuator of channel 4 . Provides the same
function as the C H 3 0 . 5 V / 0 . 1 V s w i t c h © for chan-
nel 4 .
attenuation

CURSORS Switches
Selects the cursor measurement modes.
If four L E D s are off, the cursor measurement mode is
deactivated; the cursor, cursor measurement mode, and
cursor measurement value are not displayed on the
C R T .
To deactivate the cursor measurement mode, press a
lighting s w i t c h .
NOTE: The cursor measurement is impossible for some
items, depending on combination of the V E R -
T I C A L MODE © and H O R I Z O N T A L MODE ©
s w i t c h e s . For details, refer to operating in-
structions.
AVI: Activates AV\
and AV3 cursor measurement.
Cursor measurement is activated w h e n any of
C H 1 , C H 3 , and A D D of the V E R T I C A L MODE
s w i t c h e s © is selected. Order of measurement
priority of these three channels is C H 1 , C H 3 , and
A D D . T w o horizontal cursors are displayed on the
C R T . Voltage difference and voltage ratio of these
cursors are displayed posterior to the cursor
measurement mode in the upper right of the C R T .
The AS/1 cursor is used for voltage difference
measurement, if the C H 1 V A R I A B L E control ©
is set to the C A L position. A value calculated a c -
cording to setting of the C H 1 V O L T S / D I V con-
trol ® is displayed posterior to the
Voltage ratio is measured if the C H 1 V A R I A B L E
control © is not set to the C A L position; a value
calculated supposing 5 div. as 1 0 0 % is displayed
posterior to the R A T I O .
In the AV3 cursor measurement, a value calcu-
lated according to setting of the C H 3 0 . 5 V / 0 . 1 V
is displayed posterior to the A\/3.
If the A D D of the V E R T I C A L M O D E s w i t c h e s ©
is selected, voltage difference (AVI) is measured
under the condition w h e r e the C H 1 V O L T S / D I V
control © and C H 2 V O L T S / D I V control © are set
to the same level a s well as the V A R I A B L E con-
trol © and © are set to C A L . Otherwise, voltage
ratio (RATIO) is measured.
If the zlcursor is below the zlREF cursor, a nega-
tive ( - ) value is displayed.
AV2: A c t i v a t e s AV2 and AV4
w h e n C H 2 or C H 4 of the V E R T I C A L M O D E
s w i t c h e s © is selected. Order of measurement
priority of these t w o channels is C H 2 and C H 4 .
T w o horizontal cursors are displayed on the C R T .
Voltage difference and voltage ratio of these cur-
sors are displayed posterior to the cursor meas-
urement mode in the upper right of the C R T .
The AV2 cursor is used for voltage difference
measurement, if the C H 2 V A R I A B L E control ©
is set to C A L position. A value calculated accord-
ing to setting of the C H 2 V O L T S / D I V control ©
is displayed posterior to the
Voltage ratio is measured if the C H 2 V A R I A B L E
control © is not set to the C A L position; a value
calculated supposing 5 div. as 1 0 0 % is displayed
posterior to the R A T I O .
in the AV4 cursor measurement, a value calcu-
lated according to setting of the C H 4 0.5 V / 0 . 1 V
s w i t c h is displayed posterior to the . 4 V 4 .
If the zicursor is below the AREF cursor, a nega-
tive ( - ) value is displayed.
