Mounting the Updated Amplifier Board to the Heat Sink

1. Use a #8 by ½" Phillips-head screw, a nut, and lock-washer to secure the
mounting brackets to the PC board. Use the round hole in the bracket, not the
elongated hole.
2. Repeat the operation for the second bracket.
3. Don't tighten them just yet. A little wiggle room is helpful for the next step.
4. In addition to the assembled circuit board with the mounting brackets in place,
have the following items ready:
a. The heat sink plate
b. 4-40 screw and nut with captive lock-washer
c. #8 screw, washer, lock-washer, and nut (2 sets per board)
d. Thermal compound
5. Smear a thin film of thermal compound onto the back of the LM3886. Some folks
like to use fingers, others prefer cotton swabs. If you use cotton swabs, pull off
