MVF2000 Optional Device Description

1. Filter Cabinet

Function
The FC cabinet is an optional cabinet which is connected at the output of the drive,
between the inverter and motor. The filter is used to reduce the dv/dt of the voltage waveform,
prevent resonance/over voltage caused by motor cables and reduce the charging current of
the cable.
Principal
The filter cabinet is between converter and motor, consists of reactor and paralleling
resistor. The reactor is for decreasing PWM rising edge, and the resistor is for damping the
resonant caused by reactor and stray inductance.
Basic electrical components
The main electrical components of filter cabinet are reactor and damping resistor, shown
in Fig.2 and Fig.3.
