Processor (CPU)

In addition to the standard CPU (Intel® Xeon® Processor), you can operate the system by adding one CPU.
Important
The CPU is extremely sensitive to static electricity. Make sure to touch the metal
frame of the server to discharge static electricity from your body before handling
the CPU. Do not touch the CPU terminals or onboard parts with a bare hand or
place the CPU directly on a desk.
Make sure to use the CPU specified by NEC. Installing a third-party CPU may
cause a failure of the CPU as well as the server. Repairing the server due to
failures or damage resulting from these products will be charged even if it is
under guarantee.
Before adding or removing a CPU, power off the server and then remove the
CPU/IO module.
Refer to Chapter 2 (5.1.2 Anti-static measures) and Chapter 2 (5.1.4 Preparing
your system for upgrade) before starting installing or removing options.
