The shape and dimensions of the dosimeter
were chosen for the convenience of its main way
of use, namely – when worn for a long time in the
upright position in a breast pocket of the overalls.
The dosimeter's housing is made of impact-
resistant glass-filled plastic. It consists of two co-
vers – the upper (1) and the lower (2) covers, con-
nected by screws (3). A raised elastic sealing
frame-gasket (4) is located between the said co-
vers around the perimeter of their joint.
