Securing Nuts and Bolts

Regularly check that all securing nuts and bolts
are tight. Replace missing or damaged items
immediately.

Rear Deflector

WARNING: Improper maintenance, use of non
conforming replacement components, or the
removal or modification of the rear deflector may
cause death or serious injury.
Remove grass debris from the rear deflector
immediately after use and check its condition for
signs of damage.

Blade Brake Test

The motor and blade are designed to stop within
3 seconds, after you release the motor stop lever.
Ensure that the motor stop lever functions properly
each time before you operate the mower.
If the blade does not stop within 3 seconds or there
is a grinding or scraping, metal-to-metal noise when
you release the motor stop lever, contact a Hayter
Authorised Service Dealer.
This same recommendation applies if you observe
heavy vibrations when using the mower.
Preparing the Battery for Recycling
IMPORTANT: The supply terminals are not to be
short-circuited. Upon removal, cover the terminals
of the battery pack with heavy-duty adhesive tape.

Do not attempt to destroy or disassemble the
battery pack or remove any of its components.
Batteries are to be removed from the machine and
safely disposed of. Contact your local council or
your authorised Hayter dealer for more information
on how to responsibly recycle the battery.

Storage

IMPORTANT: Store the machine, battery pack,
and charger only in temperatures that are within
the appropriate range; refer to Appropriate
Temperature Ranges.
IMPORTANT: If you are storing the machine for a
year or longer, remove the battery pack from the
machine and charge the battery pack until 2 or 3
LED indicators turn green on the battery. Do not
store a fully charged or fully depleted battery.
When you are ready to use the machine again,
charge the battery pack until the left indicator light
turns green on the charger or all 4 LED indicators
turn green on the battery.
Disconnect the product from the power supply
(i.e, remove the battery pack) and check for
damage after use.
Clean all foreign material from the product.
When not in use, store the machine, electric-
start button, battery pack, and battery charger
out of the reach of children.
Keep the machine, battery pack, and battery
charger away from corrosive agents, such as
garden chemicals and de-icing salts.
Tighten all nuts, bolts, and screws.
Lubricate the mower and treat metal parts with a
water repellent anti-corrosion product.
Cover the mower with a protective sheet and
Store the machine, battery pack, and battery
charger in an enclosed clean, dry area.
To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, do
not store the battery pack outside or in vehicles.
