Checking the tire condition

Only mount tires approved and/or recommended by Husqvarna Motorcycles.
Other tires could have a negative effect on handling characteristics.
The type, condition, and pressure of the tires all have a major impact on the handling characteristic of
the motorcycle.
The tires mounted on the front and rear wheels must have a similar profile.
Worn tires have a negative effect on handling characteristics, especially on wet surfaces.

Position rear wheel and mount the chain.
The brake linings are correctly positioned.

Make sure that the chain adjuster support plates are in
contact with the adjusting nuts.

Check the chain tension. (

Tighten nut

Operate the foot brake lever repeatedly until the brake
linings are in contact with the brake disc and there is a
pressure point.
Finishing work
–
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (

Check the front and rear tires for cuts, embedded objects,
and other damage.
» If the tires have cuts, run-in objects, or other damage:
–
Change the tires.
