Transmitting IP-Fax

Transmitting by Specifying an
IP Address or Host Name
This section describes how to send fax
messages to an IP-Fax connected to
the same LAN or connected directly
to the Internet.

Set the original, and then select
the scan settings as necessary.

Press the user function key ({ { { { F1} } } }
to { { { { F10} } } } ) assigned to the Internet
FAX function.

❒ On Type 2 machines, the Inter-
net FAX function is pre-as-
signed to the { { { { F5} } } } key.
❒ Use the following to specify an
IP address or host name with-
out pressing the user function
key:
• Quick Dial, Speed Dial, or
Group Dial assigned to the
destination IP address
• The Redial function

Check Function Is Turned Off
If the Network Transmission Auto
Check function is set to "Off" with
user parameters, select "IP-Fax Ad-
dress" in the display that appears.
For information on changing this
setting, see p.166 "User Parame-
ters" (switch 32, bit 1).
A Press the 0 0 0 0 or 1 1 1 1 key to select
"2. IP-Fax Address".
B Press the { { { { OK} } } } key.
