Connect the dryer to the type of gas
shown on the data plate.
•
Use a new AGA or CSA approved gas
supply line.

Install a shut-off valve.
•
Use pipe joint compound insoluble in LP
gas on all pipe threads.
•

•
Purge the gas supply of air and sediment
before connecting the gas supply to
the dryer; in order to prevent gas valve
contamination. Before tightening the
connection between the gas supply and
the dryer, purge any remaining air until
the odor of gas is identified.
•
Do not use an open flame to inspect for
gas leaks, instead use a non-corrosive
leak detection fluid
•
Do not attempt any disassembly of the
dryer. Any disassembly requires the
attention and tools of an authorized and
qualified service person or company.
•
Securely tighten all gas connections.
•
If connected to LP, have a qualified
person make sure the gas pressure
does not exceed 13 in. water column.
•
Examples of a qualified person include
licensed heating personnel, authorized
gas company personnel, and authorized
service personnel.
•
Gas leaks may occur in your system,
creating a dangerous situation.
•
Gas leaks may not be detected by smell
alone.
•
Gas suppliers recommend you purchase
and install a UL-approved gas detector.
•
Install and use your dryer in accordance
with manufacturer's instructions. Failure
to do so can result in death, explosion,
