Gas connections
Caution!
•
Connect the dryer to the type of gas
shown on the data plate.
•
Use a new AGA or CSA approved gas
supply line.
•
Use new flexible stainless steel
connectors.
•
Install a shut-off valve.
•
Use teflon tape and pipe joint
compound insoluble in LP gas on all
pipe threads.
•
Purge gas supply of air and sediment
before connecting the gas supply
to the dryer; in order to prevent gas
valve contamination. Before tightening
connection between gas supply and
dryer, purge remaining air until odor of
gas is identified.
•
Do not use an open flame to inspect for
gas leaks, instead use a non-corrosive
leak detection fluid
•
Do not attempt any disassembly of the
dryer, any disassembly requires the
attention and tools of an authorized and
qualified service person or company.
•
Securely tighten all gas connections.
•
If connected to LP, have a qualified
person make sure gas pressure does
not exceed 13 in. water column.
•
Examples of a qualified person include
licensed heating personnel, authorized
gas company personnel, and authorized
service personnel.
•
Gas leaks may occur in your system,
creating a dangerous situation.
•
Gas leaks may not be detected by smell
alone.
•
Gas suppliers recommend you
purchase and install a UL-approved gas
detector.

Install and use in accordance with
manufacturer's instructions. Failure to
do so can result in death, explosion, or
fire.

Your dryer must be installed by a licensed
plumber or gas fitter.
A "T" handle manual gas valve must be
installed in the gas supply line to your
dryer.
If a flexible gas connector is used to install
your dryer, the connector must have a
maximum length of 3' (36").
