FULLY retract the wing lift cylinders until the lock up hole on the wing lines up with the lock up hole on the
center tower. Remove the snap pin from the lever pivot assembly and pull the lever back to engage the lock pin
(Figure Ops-1495). Re-insert the snap pin to lock the lever into position. Do this to both sides of wings.
If necessary, fully retract the phasing cylinders to pull the wing wheels closer and reduce the transport width to
less then 3 metres.
NOTE: The outer wing tires may have to be adjusted on the wheel beam to bring the wings fully within 3
meters.
NOTE: The depth stop on the center section cylinder may have to be adjusted to bring the wings fully within 3
meters.
IMPORTANT: Never transport the rotary cutter without the transport lock pins.

14.3 Transporting on Public Roadways

Extreme caution should be used when transporting the tractor and mower on public roadways. The tractor
must be equipped with all required safety warning features including a SMV emblem and flashing warning
lights to alert drivers of the tractor's presence.
automotive drivers and most drivers will not be looking out for you, therefore, you must look out for them.
Check your side view mirrors frequently and remember that vehicles will approach quickly because of the
tractor's slower speed. Be extremely cautious when the piece of equipment that you are towing is wider than
the tractor tire width and/or extends beyond your lane of the road.
If the rotary cutter obscures the tractor warning or tail lights, the rotary cutter MUST be equipped with a
transport light kit. See the 'Assembly Section' for installation instructions.
