Helm sensor test

The helm sensor test checks the connection between the Accu-Drive FPS 12V/24V
helm sensor and the processor unit. This test is not available for other types of helm
sensors.
1. Select [Rudder Test] from the diagnostic test options window then push the
Course control knob.
The message shown below appears.
2. Center the rudder then push the Course control knob to show one of the follow-
ing pop-up messages.
Turn helm to PORT or
STBD.
Push any key to abort.
When the RRU is installed
3. When the RRU is installed: Turn the helm to PORT or STBD direction.

4. When the RRU is installed: Turn the helm to the opposite direction from step 3.
For Fantum Feedback
If the connection is normal, the message "Helm Sensor Test completed. Push EN-
TER to continue." appears. For failure, "Helm Sensor Test failed. Check the sen-
sor. Push ENTER to continue." appears. Check that your helm sensor is Accu-
Drive FPS 12V/24V. Also, check that the helm sensor is correctly connected to the
processor unit.
5. Push the Course control knob to show the result of the helm sensor test.
Universal Input1: STBD*
Universal Input2: PORT*
*: "--" appears if the test failed.
6. Press the

: Turn the helm to STBD direction.
: Turn the helm to PORT direction.
Helm Sensor Test
Push MENU key to return.

5. MAINTENANCE, TROUBLESHOOTING
Turn helm to move rudder
for STBD side.
Push any key to abort.
