To change the configuration, click Modify arrays or Modify logical drives.
13. Click Apply to accept and save the configuration. The configuration is saved in the ServeRAID
controller and on the physical drives.
14. If you have multiple controllers, repeat steps 1 to 13 for each controller.
15. When you have completed configuration, close the ServeRAID Manager program and remove the
CD-ROM from the CD-ROM drive.
16. Restart the system.
17. If you have not already done so, install your operating system. See the server documentation or the
documentation provided with your operating system for more information.
After you install your operating system, see Chapter 4, "Installing device drivers and utility programs" on
page 47 (or the installation instructions provided with your server) for information about installing the
ServeRAID device drivers and utility programs.
Using the Information mode
You can use the Information mode to view the configuration information of ServeRAID controllers, arrays,
logical drives, hot-spare drives, and physical drives that make up your ServeRAID subsystem (see
Figure 6 on page 21). You also can use this mode to change some of the ServeRAID controller settings.
Click an item in the Main Tree and select the Actions menu to display available actions on that item.
