ServeRAID-3L controller

The ServeRAID-3L controller has two channel connectors: one internal and one external. These channel
connectors share the same SCSI bus. You can attach SCSI devices to either the internal or external
channel connector, but you cannot attach devices to both connectors simultaneously. This SCSI channel
supports up to 15 physical devices.

ServeRAID-3H and ServeRAID-3HB controller

The ServeRAID-3H and ServeRAID-3HB controllers have three independent SCSI channel connectors:
Channel 1, Channel 2, and Channel 3. Each of these SCSI channels support up to 15 physical devices.
Note: Only the ServeRAID-3HB controller comes with the battery-backup cache standard. It is an option
for the ServeRAID-3H.

You can attach internal SCSI devices to the Channel 3 connector, and you can attach external SCSI
devices to the Channel 1 and Channel 2 connectors.
