PROGRAMMING MODES

Switch 10 sets the programming mode: "Standard" (switch in OFF
position) or "Advanced" (switch in ON position).
In "Standard" mode settings are made by switches from 1 to 9.
In "Advanced" mode all programming is made via the "VX2X00
Programmer" PC software connected to RS485 via an Art. 481 in-
terface. Please note that in this case the programming made by
switches from 1 to 9 wil be ignored.

PUSH BUTTON CONFIGURATION

For m values refer to the table "Programming of the 40 push buttons group" paragraph
on pag. 2.
NOTE: In "Advanced" programming mode with the switch 10 in ON position, the address
code generated by every single push button depends from programming made by "VX2X00
Programmer" PC software where the numbers from 1 to 40 are for button expansion modules
and 41 and 42 are the buttons included in Art. 4204X-1 and Art. 4204X-2.
The button addressing depends on the jumper position and on the push buttons group se-
lected on the speaker unit (m).
The table below shows the numbers assigned to the buttons according to the jumper position.

PROGRAMMING NOTES

In case of a wrong Master/Slave configuration (Dip-switch no.1),
the following problems can occur:
a. if the unit should be a Master but is configured as a Slave, the
error is signalled by an acoustic intermittent signal until the
problem is resolved;
b. if the unit must be Slave but is configured as Master, the im-
pedance of the system will have a lack of balance, causing
feedback ("Larsen" effect).
