50 Disassembly and assembly
28. Air intake manifold cover
Fit the gasket and install manifold cover (1).

Both sides of gasket:

Tube mounting bolt:
29. Fuel supply pump
1) Rotate the crankshaft forward to bring
stamped line (a) of the supply pump gear
to the top and set the No. 1 cylinder to the
compression top dead center (T.D.C).
2) Fit the O-ring and push in supply pump
drive shaft (7) in supply pump drive gear
(2), setting the pin of the former to the key
way (b) of the latter, and tighten nut (3)
and washer (4) temporarily.

Gasket sealant (LG-7)
24 ± 4 Nm {2.4 ± 0.4 kgm}
3) Install supply pump assembly (8) with
mounting nuts (5) and bolt (6).

Mounting nut: Adhesive (LT-2)

Mounting nut and bolt:
43 ± 6 Nm {4.4 ± 0.6 kgm}
4) Tighten nut (3).

Mounting nut:
180 ± 12.7 Nm {18.4 ± 1.3 kgm}
5) Install cap (1).
