Troubleshooting
This section describes the possible problems of this product and their remedies.
If problems occur, please review the following list and take remedial action as needed.
If you cannot solve the problem after checking the entire list, contact Olympus for assistance.
Phenomena
The power of DP2-AOU does
not turn ON.
The image cannot be
acquired by pressing the
[Snapshot] button.
The movie cannot be
recorded by pressing the
[Movie] button.
The play images are not
shown on the display.
Nothing is shown on the
display.
Cause
DP2-AOU, AC adapter and power
cord are not connected properly.
Images or movies are being written
in the memory.
The capacity of the recording
media such as a USB flash drive,
etc. is full.
Recording media such as a USB
flash drive, etc. are not connected
properly.
The LAN cable is not connected
properly. (Only when PC on the
network is specified as the save
destination of acquired images.)
Due to the network problem,
PC that is specified as the save
destination cannot be accessed.
(Only when PC on the network is
specified as the save destination of
acquired images.)
The save folder is protected by the
password. (Only when PC on the
network is specified as the save
destination of acquired images.)
Due to the problems of connected
USB devices or the network, the
adverse effect is caused to the
camera operation.
The main switch is set to OFF.
The [Play] tab is not selected.
No image is recorded in the save
destination.
Recording media such as USB
flash drive, etc. are not connected
properly.
The power of DP2-AOU is turned
OFF.
The power of the display is not
turned ON.
The display cable is not connected
properly.
The display resolution is not set
properly.
DP23-AOU/DP28-AOU
Remedy
Connect DP2-AOU, AC adapter and
power cord properly.
Wait one or more seconds, and press
the [Snapshot] button or the [Movie]
button again.
Replace the recording media or
delete unnecessary images. Or delete
images from the recording media after
transferring them to PC, etc.
Connect the recording media such as
a USB flash drive, etc. to the connector
properly.
Connect the LAN cable to the connector
properly.
Consult with the network administrator
of PC that is specified as the save
destination.
Connect the keyboard to DP2-AOU and
input the password. Or consult with
the network administrator of PC that is
specified as the save destination.
Disconnect the USB device and the
LAN cable.
Set the main switch of DP2-AOU to ON.
Select the [Play] tab.
Acquire the still image.
Connect the recording media such as
USB flash drive, etc. to the connector
properly.
Press the main switch of DP2-AOU to
turn ON the power of DP2-AOU.
Turn ON the power.
Connect the display cable to the
connector properly.
Set the display resolution properly.
