A floor mount lock is located at both sides of the external collimator. The
exact position depends on the configuration. Position the lock right above
the indicated position on the floor. Push the upper lever to fixate the lock.
WARNING:
Always position the external collimator exactly in the same
position as defined during installation.
7. Move the DR detector to the top most position, even if it is not part of the
region of interest.
Press the button of the control unit to move the DR detector to the next
position.
During movement, the leds of the target position on the control unit is
blinking. Once the position is reached, the led stays on and the DR
detector can be moved to the next position by pressing the button again.
8. Adjust the position of the external collimator, aligning it to the center of
the X-ray beam.
a) Press the height adjustment button on the external collimator to move
it upward or downward.
The center line of the external collimator must be aligned to the center
line of the X-ray beam.
b) Once aligned, press the initialization button on the external collimator.
The external collimator will initialize its position and align to the DR
detector in the top most position of the DR detector holder.
9. Apply collimation using the collimator on the X-ray tube.
Adjust the collimation width according to the region of interest.
WARNING:
In vertical direction, make sure that the X-ray beam does not
exceed the frame of the external collimator. In horizontal
direction, make sure that the X-ray beam does not exceed
the width of the window of the external collimator.
10. If the top most position is not part of the region of interest, move the DR
detector to the middle position in the DR detector holder.
Press the button of the control unit to move the DR detector to the next
position.
