Replacing an IQ Gateway

If problems remain after following the troubleshooting steps above, contact Enphase at
http://www.enphase.com/philippines.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock. Risk of fire. Do not attempt to repair the IQ Gateway;
it contains no user-serviceable parts. Tampering with or opening the IQ Gateway will
void the warranty. If the IQ Gateway fails, contact Enphase Customer Support for
assistance (http://www.enphase.com/philippines).

Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
If Enphase Customer Support authorises an IQ Gateway replacement (RMA), perform the following steps.
DANGER! Risk of electrocution! When replacing the IQ Gateway-M, CTs must be
installed with no current flowing in the sensed circuit. Always install CT wires in the
terminal blocks before energising the sensed circuit. Always de-energise the sensed
circuit before disconnecting the CT leads from the terminal block.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock. Be aware that installation of this equipment includes
risk of electric shock. Always de-energise circuits before wiring for power and CTs.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock. Risk of fire. If the IQ Gateway is wired for metering,
only qualified personnel should install or replace the Enphase IQ Gateway.
WARNING! When replacing the IQ Gateway-M, you must install a new production CT to
maintain metering accuracy. A new production CT is included with the replacement IQ
Gateway.
WARNING! If the IQ Gateway you are replacing uses an Enphase cellular modem
(Enphase Mobile Connect), do NOT move the cellular modem to another installation site.
This de-activates the modem.

Replacing a Hardwired IQ Gateway

If Enphase Customer Support authorises an IQ Gateway replacement (RMA), perform the following steps.
DANGER! Risk of electrocution! CTs must be installed with no current flowing in the
sensed circuit. Always install CT wires in the terminal blocks before energising the
sensed circuit. Do not disconnect the CT leads from the terminal block while the sensed
circuit is energised.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock. Be aware that installation of this equipment includes
risk of electric shock. If you wire the IQ Gateway at the sub-board, always de-energise
the sub-board before servicing.
WARNING!
230 or ENV-S-AM1-230-60), you must install the new production CT included with the
replacement IQ Gateway.
1. Turn off the circuit breaker supplying IQ Gateway.
2. Disconnect the L1 and Neutral wires from the old Envoy.
3. Disconnect the Ethernet cable (if used).
4. Turn off the circuit breaker supplying the microinverters.
