6 Instrument configuration

The R&S QAT provides various settings for the test setups described in
"Simulating radar
the rear panel of the R&S QAT.
Configuring a LAN connection
When you use the R&S QAT in a LAN, configure the network properties.
1. Enter "Network" settings.
2. Turn "DHCP" (dynamic IP address assignment) on or off.
When dynamic IP address assignment is on, the network automatically assigns a
free IP address to the connected R&S QAT.
3. When you turn off DHCP, configure the IP address (IPv4), subnet mask and gate-
way manually using the corresponding
administrator for information about network properties you can use.
Configuring the frequency reference
Some test setups use an external or the internal frequency reference to synchronize
the frequency between the devices in the test setups.
1. If you are using an external frequency reference to synchronize the frequency:
a) Select "QAT Settings" > "Reference" > "External".
b) Select the frequency you want to use. Supported frequencies are 10 MHz and
