Safety Precautions

„Observe these precautions in order to prevent property damage or injury.
„The consequences of incorrect use are categorized as follows:
WARNING
Failure to follow these
instructions properly may
result in personal injury or loss
of life.
„Precautions to be observed are categorized using symbols:
Never attempt.
WARNING
„Concerning the power supply plug and cord
• Do not unplug while the unit is in operation. (Fire due to overheating or electric shock may result)
• Do not plug in or unplug with wet hands. (An electric shock may result)
• Use only a 120 V power supply. (Other power supplies may lead to fire or electric shock.)
(Fire may result from overheating if the ratings of multi-socket power adapters, etc., are exceeded)
• Do not pull on the power supply cord when unplugging. (Overheating or fire may result from
wire breakage.)
• Do not connect or disconnect the power plug to turn the unit ON / OFF. (Abusive handling
may lead to electric shock or fire because of overheating.)
• Do not perform actions that might break the power supply plug and cord.
–Such actions including damaging, modifying, forcibly bending, pulling, twisting, bundling up, placing heavy objects on
the power supply plug or cord.
If the power supply plug or cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similar
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. (Electric shock, short circuit or fire may result from use while damage.)
• Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug. Discard this appliance
or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or
similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord
away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
• RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:
–These servicing instructions are for use by qualified personnel only. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
perform any servicing other than that contained in the operating instructions unless you are qualified to do so.
• Insert the power supply plug firmly all the way in.
–Do not use a damaged power supply plug or a loosely fitted power socket.
(Electric shock, short circuiting or fire due to overheating may result if the power supply plug is not firmly inserted)
• Periodically wipe dust off the power supply plug with a dry cloth.
–If the unit is not to be used for a prolonged period, unplug the power supply. (Fire may be caused by defective
insulation resulting from dust build-up with moisture, etc.)
• When performing maintenance, inspecting or moving the unit, be sure to turn off &
unplug the unit. (An electric shock or injury may result)
• Stop operation and disconnect the power plug if detecting anything strange such as
burning odors. (Continued use of the unit in anything strange such as burning odors may lead to electric shock
or fire because of overheating. Consult your dealer.)
• Before cleaning or relocating the unit, stop operation and disconnect the power plug
from the electrical socket. (Handling with the unit plugged in may lead to electric shock or damage.)
