■Electric presser foot lifter for P-UTE
When plunger E moves in direction of F, the presser foot should be 6mm or 8mm above the
top surface of the needle plate. Adjust by using chain G. Note that there is a little slack on
chain I when plunger E moves in the direction of H. Then make sure the presser foot
whether or not the floating when the machine running.
【 12】 ADJUSTING THE TOP COVER THREAD TRIMMER

12-1 Relationship between the position of the movable knife and the stationary knife

When the movable knife E retracts all the way, Set the clearance between mount bracket
B and the end of the air cylinder C at 8mm. Tighten nut D.(Model for UTA）
When the movable knife E retracts all the way, Set the
clearance between the end of fixed knife G and the top of the
movable knife E at 2mm. Loosen screw A to open the cover, then
loosen screw F and adjust knife position.

12-2 Adjusting the top cover thread clamp spring

Top cover thread clamp spring H should parallel and
same line with end of the stationary knife G. Loosen
screws I and adjust spring H

12-3 Adjusting the top cover thread rear spring

Top cover thread rear spring J should parallel and set
to approximately 4mm from end G of the stationary
knife. Loosen screws I and adjust spring J

12-4 Adjusting the thread clamp pressure

The spring H holds the top cover thread after it is cut.
To adjust the pressure of the spring, turn adjusting
screw K. To increase the pressure, turn it clockwise.
To decrease the pressure, turn it counterclockwise.

12-5 Adjusting the movable knife left to right

Movable knife C should pass clearance B between
spreader A and the left needle.
Loosen screw H for bracket G.
Adjust movable knife C while checking it does not touch
spreader A or the left needle.

12-6 Adjusting the movable knife front to back

The movable knife should hook the top cover thread when
the movable knife returns home.
Loosen screws J on movable knife installation base I.
Set the clearance between hook end D of movable knife C and
the top cover thread at approximately 1mm.

12-7 Adjusting the height of the movable knife

When the movable knife is at the bottom of its travel, hook
point X of the movable knife should be aligned with the top
surface of the spreader. Then tighten screws F when bracket
E is in the lowest position. In case of the UTE series,
adjustment is made by moving stoppers A. Loosen screw B for
stopper. (See the illustration on the next page)

Turn off the motor, position the fabric under the presser foot and then adjust by hand.
