12-8 Adjusting the solenoid return spring (UTE)

To adjust the returning pressure of the movable knife, loosen screw D for spring hook C
and move spring hook C up or down. To increase the pressure, move up hook C.
decrease the pressure, move down hook C. The pressure of spring E should be as light as
possible, yet be sufficient to return the movable knife home correctly when the solenoid gets
actuated. Set the clearance between drive lever F and solenoid shaft H at approximately
2mm.Then tighten screw F for drive lever B.

To decrease the amount of the thread supplied by the
thread take-up, move up thread releaser hook G.
To increase the amount of the thread supplied by the
thread take-up, move down thread releaser hook G.
If the amount is too small, the top cover thread cannot
be held after it is cut.

13-1 Adjusting the air cylinder position
Condense stitch device is available with UTAB. In the case of GJ series, when the
condense stitch device adjusting, it work at same time with air cylinder A for condensed of
the side roller and air cylinder F for feed mechanism. When the air cylinder A just works,
the side roller D slightly move up to make up to make a gap E between needle plate for
reducing a presser to fabric. To adjust the lift amount of the side roller when the condense
device works, to loosen screw C and adjust the position of air cylinder A up and down.
When the air cylinder F works, the feeding amount of the feed dog is getting shorter by
lever G move up so that the feeding amount is getting shorter by both operation.
In the case of GSJ series, side roller is not installed. Just only the air cylinder F for feed
mechanism is activated. (Right figure)
The condense stitch device works just when push back the pedal. Please refer to the motor
instruction how does it program because of it is same action under thread trimmer.
