Encoder connection

● The terminal box can only be used for double cabling for
power connection.
● If a motor equipped for double cabling is only connected with
one power cable by the customer, the cores of this power
cable are to be attached to the terminals on which the cores
for the motor winding are attached.
● Fuses F1 (NH...) protecting the wires against overload in
case of a cable break have to be dimensioned according to
the current carrying capacity of the particular line cross-sec‐
tion.
● The fuses should be installed in the control cabinet such that
they are as close as possible to the power output of the con‐
troller.
● The shield of the motor power cable has to be connected to
the control cabinet on the motor side of the fuses such that it
is conducting over a large area.
● Power cables are not available to establish the double ca‐
bling. To install the fuses, standard Rexroth power cables
have to be opened and cut to the appropriate length on site.
Depending on the encoder type, the encoder connection of the motors is de‐
signed as 10-pin, 12-pin or 17-pin connector socket on the motor housing.
