Pursuant to EN 60034-1:2004 (11.1 Grounding of machines), motors of frame
size MAF225C-0150 have to be grounded with an additional ground conduc‐
tor having a wire cross-section of at least 25 mm².
To achieve this, the motor flange is provided with a connection screw with an
M12 thread. Use this connection screw to attach the additional ground con‐
ductor to the motor by means of a ring terminal for M12 threads and connect
the cable to the ground bus in the control cabinet.

motors feature a bayonet lock.

Proceed as follows to connect motors with connector socket:
1. Push the coupling into the connector socket and observe the coding.
2. Manually tighten the union nut until it can be heard clicking into place.
3. The marker points on the coupling and the connector socket have to be
opposite to each other with the bayonet lock clicked into place.
