CA Motor Assembly
Required item

Preparation

Remove the top cover assembly. (Refer to

Open the clamper, then disconnect the harness from the connector (CN1) on the SM-45 board.

Remove the two screws, then remove the CA motor.

Tip
• When attaching the CA motor assembly, apply the grease FLOIL (FLOIL G-902) to the helical gear.
• When attaching the CA motor assembly, in order to properly apply pressure to the motor sheet, align the
dowel on the round hole side (a) first, and then insert the dowel on the elongate hole side while rotating the
motor assembly in the clockwise direction around the round hole. Then, tighten the screws.
3.
Install the removed parts by reversing the steps of removal.

After replacement, reset the Carry Motor (H) Counter. (Refer to

Helical gear
Apply the grease FLOIL (FLOIL G-902)
to the three portions of the helical gear
(1/2 size of a grain of rice for each
portion). Rotate the helical gear in the
direction of the arrow for allowing the
grease to spread evenly.
