7. Do not unplug by pulling out the cord. To unplug,
grasp the plug, not the cord.
8. Do not touch plug or vacuum cleaner with wet
hands.
9. Do not put any objects into openings. Do not use
it with any blocked opening. Keep free of dust, lint,
hair and anything that may reduce airfl ow.
10. Keep hair, loose clothing, fi ngers and all parts of
body away from openings and moving parts.
11. Turn off all controls before unplugging.
12. Use extra care when cleaning stairs.
13. Do not use to pick up fl ammable or combustible
liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where
they may be present.
14. Hold plug when rewinding into cord reel. Do not al-
low the plug to whip when rewinding to avoid any
accidents.
15. Unplug before connecting the hose.
16. Do not pick up anything that is burning or smok-
ing, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
17. Do not use without dust bag and/or fi lter in place.
18. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer or its service agent or a simi-
larly qualifi ed person in order to avoid a hazard.
