6.2.2

FLUSHING PROCEDURE IN CONJUNCTION WITH EPG 2008/EPG PRIMA CONTROL UNIT

If the spray gun is operated with an EPG 2008/EPG Prima control unit and a PI-P1 powder
injector, proceed as follows:
1. Release the trigger on the spray gun so that the powder feed and high-voltage
generator are switched off.
2. Set the knob for the overall air quantity on the EPG 2008/EPG Prima control unit to
maximum. No more powder will be delivered when switching on again.
3. Press the trigger on the spray gun so that the spray gun is blown free of powder.
4. Switch off the control unit and secure against inadvertent switch on.

PERFORMING A COLOR CHANGE

During a color change all parts carrying powder must be thoroughly cleaned of powder
residue. In the following only the procedure for the powder spray gun is described.
Hint:
During a color change, the nozzle system does not necessarily have to disassemble.
Colors being displaced!
➞ If the outer nut is not screwed on tightly up to the stop position, the colors may
smear.
6.3.1

FLUSHING PROCEDURE IN CONJUNCTION WITH EPG SPRINT/EPG-D1 CONTROL UNIT

The fl ushing procedure can be set on the control unit if the spray gun is connected to
an EPG Sprint/EPG-D1 control unit in conjunction with the PI-F1 powder injector. In this
case the spray gun is blown free of powder as soon as the trigger is released. The precise
procedure is describe in the operating manual of the control unit.
