A chain driven camshaft is supported by five
bearings. Wide camshaft lobes allow a molimlun of
lobe wear. Both the crankshaft and canshitt spree

The camshaft gear is cast as an integral part of
the camshaft and meshes with tine distrihuLor drive
gear which Is an integral parL ufthe distributor. Fig

The distrthutor drive ehaft, rotating in a
COUNTIiRCLOCKWISE direcLicin when viewedfrom
above, drives the nil pump and vacuum pump. The
vacuum pump is attached tn Lhe underside of the
oil pump and is driven by a hexagonal drive shaft
between the two pumps
