Unpacking At delivery the ICP-D is packed in a cardboard box. Place the cardboard box on a stable (solid), flat and insulated support during all the unpacking. Open the box from the top. Remove the ICP-D that is packaged in an antistatic bag.

If there is no battery present or the battery was temporally removed the certificates stored on the ICP-D are deleted. As a result the ICP-D goes into a non recoverable error state and makes the ICP-D out of order. If this is the case, the ICP-D must be sent back to factory to install new certificates.

If an IMB board is installed just below ICP-D in the Card Cage, unplug all connections from this device then remove it from the Card Cage of the projector. For mechanical reasons the ICP-D board cannot be removed from the projector when the 3rd party IMB board is still inserted.
Note: When replacing ICP by ICP-D you have to remove the metal plate located in between the ICP and the IMB. This plate is no longer useful and should not be installed with an ICP-D. Use information (QR code and/or serial number) on CertID label located on the top of the security module of the ICP-D to obtain device certificate.
ICP-D board cannot be manipulated (removal/installation) when the 3rd party IMB board (or some metal partition plate) is still inserted. Push (apply a little pressure) on both handles until the ICP-D is fully inserted and the connection is made with the back plane.

Legacy protocol must be activated when a third party equipment need to send API over Ethernet commands to the SP4K projector using the legacy protocol as used on Series 2 projectors. A third party equipment could be a TMS, an automation device, an IMB/IMS installed in the projector or any other equipment which need to operate the SP4K projector.
Use Communicator (Diagnostics > Version info) to double check if current versions meet the software requirements. See minimum software requirements section in this manual and do not hesitate to consult Barco’s web site (http://www.barco.com) to verify if a newer version is available. Image 3–11 Version info...
