    ICP-D, such as safety related issues, initial inspection, minimum version of projector software, etc. This document can be used as a guideline to install or replace an ICP-D installed in the field. The latest version of this document can be downloaded from the Barco website www.barco.com...

    (not applicable for DP2K S series). • Be careful never to drop anything into the ICP-D assembly during the procedure. The fall of a tool or a spare part in the ICP-D or in the projector could have catastrophic consequences when you will restart the system.
  • Page 9 • To avoid any risk of injury, the SERVICE PERSONNEL that do the installation or maintenance of the ICP-D must respect the same rules as for the projector. Follow the safety instructions listed in the projector manuals.

    This means a new license is required in case you change projector or IMB brand. On Series 2 projectors, no license is needed in order to use ICP-D together with an third party IMB. Supported IMBs from ICP-D software version 1.2.0.5 (included in the Series 4 software 1.4.0) onwards: •...

  • Page 11: Initial Inspection

    Unpacking At delivery the ICP-D is packed in a cardboard box. Place the cardboard box on a stable (solid), flat and insulated support during all the unpacking. Open the box from the top. Remove the ICP-D that is packaged in an antistatic bag.
  • Page 12 If there is no battery present or the battery was temporally removed the certificates stored on the ICP-D are deleted. As a result the ICP-D goes into a non recoverable error state and makes the ICP-D out of order. If this is the case, the ICP-D must be sent back to factory to install new certificates.

    Purpose of the Barco ICP-D device certificate The device certificate (*. pem) of the Barco ICP-D is a digital certificate signed by Barco which is used in certificate chain in order to verify if the device is authorized.   • Page 20: Process Overview Of Icp-D Replacement

    If an IMB board is installed just below ICP-D in the Card Cage, unplug all connections from this device then remove it from the Card Cage of the projector. For mechanical reasons the ICP-D board cannot be removed from the projector when the 3rd party IMB board is still inserted.

    Note: When replacing ICP by ICP-D you have to remove the metal plate located in between the ICP and the IMB. This plate is no longer useful and should not be installed with an ICP-D. Use information (QR code and/or serial number) on CertID label located on the top of the security module of the ICP-D to obtain device certificate.

    ICP-D board cannot be manipulated (removal/installation) when the 3rd party IMB board (or some metal partition plate) is still inserted. Push (apply a little pressure) on both handles until the ICP-D is fully inserted and the connection is made with the back plane.

    ICP-D. Flat screwdriver may be needed for this action. For detailed instructions see User & Installation manual of the projector. Release the two retaining screws at the front of the ICP-D (reference 1). Use a PH2 Phillips screwdriver. Caution: Ensure that the slot located under the ICP-D is empty during this procedure.

    Using the CertID label to download the ICP-D device certificate Scan the QR code (reference 1) on the top of the security module of the ICP-D with a smartphone. It's recommended to use a smartphone with auto-focus. The QR code reader will automatically redirect to the ICP-D certificate download page on the web server.

    ICP-D installation 3.6 Authorization to clear a security warning on series 2 projector When is an authorization required to clear the security warning? If a module has been removed or if the sealed compartment has been opened, an authorization will be required to clear the security warning.

    ICP-D installation 3.8 Add new license How to add license on series 2 projector Make sure the projector is powered on and is in READY mode. Start Communicator and make a connection with the projector. For more information, consult the Communicator user guide.

    ICP-D installation 3.9 Activate legacy protocol Required tools Web Communicator When is it necessary to activate Legacy protocol? Legacy protocol must be activated when a third party equipment need to send API over Ethernet commands to the SP4K projector using the legacy protocol as used on Series 2 projectors. A third party equipment could be a TMS, an automation device, an IMB/IMS installed in the projector or any other equipment which need to operate the SP4K projector.

    ICP-D installation 3.11 Checking software version It is always recommended to update the projector with the latest available software version. What need to be checked Use Web Communicator (Diagnostics > Monitoring > Notifications) to double check if a warning message related to version issue is present in the list of notifications.

    Barco customer service. Download and install the latest version of Communicator. The program can be downloaded for free from Barco's website, (URL: http://www.barco.com). Click on myBarco and login to get access to secured information. Registration is necessary. If you are not yet registered, click on New to myBarco and follow the instructions. With the created login and password, it is possible to login where you can download the software.
