3.3.3.7 NGT-9000R, RD, R+, and RD+ Release 3
1.
Press the Menu (M) button.
2.
Rotate the large knob to scroll the menu to Maintenance.
13. Press small knob to display "Self Tst".
14. Press the small knob again to activate self test.
15. When activated, the screen momentarily displays "Test Started" followed by "Test In Progress".
If the optional traffic or PED display is installed, each will show three targets during the test.
If the optional ADS-B Out Fail, traffic advisory, and TAWS lamps are installed, each will be
ON for 10 seconds during the test.

The results shown on the display can be test passed "Tst Pass", test failed "Tst Fail", or test degraded
"Test Degraded".
If a failure is detected a fail message is flashed on the CP- 2500 screen for 5 seconds. The possible
fail messages are "NO LRU RESPONSE", "XPDR FAIL", "ADS-B OUT FAIL", "ADS-B IN
FAIL", "FIS-B FAIL", "GPS FAIL", "TAS FAIL", "TCAS FAIL", "TAWS FAIL".
If a degraded condition is detected a degraded message is flashed on the CP-2500 screen for 5
seconds. The possible degraded messages are "GPS INIT", "ADS-B OUT DEGRADED",
"ADS-B IN DEGRADED", "TAS DEGRADED", "TCAS DEGRADED",
"CONFIG MODULE - SERVICE SOON".

3.3.4 Check Brightness Controls

1.
Verify brightness control by setting the aircraft dim bus controller to minimum and maximum levels.
2.
Observe that the CP-2500 display brightens and dims accordingly.

3.3.5 Checkout Complete

1.
This completes the checkout of the CP-2500.
2.
Additional checks are required of the Lynx MSS. Refer to the Installation Manual for that system for
additional procedures (manual part numbers are listed in the front section under references). The
CP-2500 or another approved control panel is required.
