3.3.3 Activate Maintenance Self Test
Perform the following self-test based on the Lynx MSS interface. A failure indicates a problem with the
interface to the Lynx MSS or that a problem exists with the Lynx MSS or one of the system components.
If a "Fail" message (or No LRU response) is observed cycle power to the Lynx MSS system. If the
messages continue to be shown, refer to the appropriate Lynx MSS Installation Manual for detailed
troubleshooting information or contact ACSS Field Service.
3.3.3.1 NGT-1000 Version 1 with Software Release 1.0 through 1.1
1.
Press the M (Menu) button.
2.
Rotate the large knob to scroll the menu to Maintenance.
3.
Press small knob to view status "Self Test" "Disable".
4.
Turn the small knob to change status to "Enable".
5.
Press the small knob again to activate self-test.
6.
When activated, the screen momentarily displays "Test Started"
7.
The results of the test are that the ADS-B Out Fail lamp flashes during the test.
8.
Press the M button to exit or scroll the large knob to "Done" and then press small knob to exit and
return to normal operation.
3.3.3.2 NGT-2000/-2500 Version 1 with Software Release 1.0 through 1.3
1.
Press the M (Menu) button.
2.
Rotate the large knob to scroll the menu to Maintenance.
3.
Press small knob to view status "Self Test" "Disable".
4.
Turn the small knob to change status to "Enable".
5.
Press the small knob again to activate self-test.
6.
When activated, the screen momentarily displays "Test Started"
7.
The results of the test are that during the test three targets are shown on the optional Traffic or PED
display and the ADS-B Out Fail lamp flashes during the test.
8.
Press the M button to exit or scroll the large knob to "Done" and then press small knob to exit and
return to normal operation.
