8.3 SWITCHING BACKLIGHT ON/OFF
To extend the life of the batteries it is possible to switch off the backlight. The backlight can be switched on
and off using the following procedure:
1. Press and hold the SCROLL DOWN key and the CANCEL key until
the display shows:
2. Release the keys and then press the SCROLL UP/DOWN key until
the display shows:
3. Press the READ/SELECT key to toggle the backlight from off to on
and vice versa.
4. When the backlight is set as required, press the CANCEL key to return to the measurement screen.
8.4 TURNING STATISTICS ON/OFF
For simplified operation measurements can be taken without storing the values. The statistical mode can
be activated or deactivated using the following procedure:
1. Press and hold the SCROLL DOWN key and the CANCEL key until
the display shows:
2. Release the keys and then press the SCROLL UP/DOWN key until
the display shows:
3. Press the READ/SELECT key to toggle the statistical mode from off
(Non Stats. Mode) to on (Stats. Mode) and vice versa.
4. When the statistical mode is set as required, press the CANCEL key to return to the measurement screen.
