6.1 IO-Link Overview

For the latest IO-Link protocol and specifications, please visit the web site at
IO-Link is a point-to-point communication link between master and slave. It can be used to automatically parameterize
sensors and transmit process data.

6.3 Hardware Interface

IO-Link is designed around IEC 61131-9 Single-drop digital communication interface for sensors and actuators (SDCI). The
figure below shows the SDCI connection for 3-wire connection devices. Power, ground, communication, and/or switching
signal are required, pin 2 is an optional I/O. The EZ-ARRAY provides the SDCI connection with an IO-Link cable splitter
accessory. The EZ-Array is a Port Class A device.
