The crash test according to ISO 7176-19 de-
mands a frontal impact at 48 kph and therefore
represents only a part of the possible hazard-
ous situations. Basically, all passengers must
be seated on a standard vehicle seat with
three-point seat belt. This is the safest possibil-
ity of transportation. If this cannot be imple-
mented, the wheelchair as well as the passen-
ger must be secured. The use of this retention
system must be observed in the following
guidelines and safety instructions.
The wheelchair must only be transported
in the direction of travel in the vehicle, as it was
tested facing forwards in the direction of travel
according to ISO 7176-19.
