When the batteries are low or exhausted, it is necessary to
fit 4 new batteries to reset the battery indicator to 100%. Do
not mix old and new batteries.
An indication of the battery life is displayed during warm up.
During operation the 'BAT' alarm flag is displayed when 1
to 2 hours of operating time remain at normal temperature.
The instrument may still be used but eventually the 'BAT
FAULT' alarm flag will be displayed, shortly after which the
instrument will switch off automatically.

Filters

Probe Handle Assembly - Part No. 12481

A number of different filter types are available from Teledyne
GMI. The minimum requirement is a cotton particulate filter
and a hydrophobic filter. These filters, incorporated in the
probe handle assembly, are available from Teledyne GMI.
Filters must be checked at frequent intervals and where
appropriate changed to ensure a clean sample path. Any
filter which has been contaminated must be cleaned or
replaced. See Filter Replacement in Section 5 OPERATOR
MAINTENANCE.
