Follow these guidelines:
Do not fully open the throttle grip abruptly at low engine speeds, either during
or after the running in period.
During the first 100 Km (62.14 miles) use the brakes gently, avoiding sudden
or prolonged braking. That is to permit the adequate adjustment of the pad
friction material to the brake discs.
It is advisable to not exceed 7500 rpm for the first 1000 km (621.37 mi) and
then not to exceed 9500 rpm up until 2000 km (1242.74 mi).
CAUTION
AFTER THE SPECIFIED MILEAGE, TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO AN Authorised
Aprilia Dealer FOR THE CHECKS INDICATED IN THE "SCHEDULED MAINTE-
NANCE TABLE" IN THE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE SECTION, TO AVOID
INJURING YOURSELF, OTHERS AND /OR DAMAGING THE VEHICLE.

Starting up the engine (03_17, 03_18, 03_19)

This vehicle is extremely powerful and must be used carefully and driven with
caution and respect for its power and potential.
Do not place objects inside the top fairing (between the handlebar and the in-
strument cluster), as this may impede the movements of the handlebar and
obstruct visibility of the instruments.
EXHAUST FUMES CONTAIN CARBON MONOXIDE, AN EXTREMELY HARMFUL
SUBSTANCE IF INHALED.
NEVER START THE ENGINE IN A CLOSED OR INSUFFICIENTLY VENTILATED
SPACE.
