Replacing the extension pole

Before storing the tool at the end of the working season, it is recommended to add a few drops of diesel fuel into
the air hose fitting (16) in the hand grip and to pull the operating lever (3) a few times while the tool idles. This
operation will avoid any dirt or moisture residues inside the tool.
Do not throw any oil out in the environment, but dispose of it in compliance with the current environmental
protection laws.

Extraordinary maintenance

Before carrying out any maintenance operation, disconnect the tool from the compressed air hose.
Any maintenance operations which have not been dealt with in this manual shall be carried out by an Au-
thorised Service Point of CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l.
These operations shall be carried out keeping the shear clamped in a vice and wearing heavy-duty protective
gloves.
AUTHORIZED SERVICE POINT
It is the Service Point authorized by the Manufacturer for repairing the products.

General information

Before any maintenance operation:
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves.
Disconnect the air hose.
Clamp the tool in a vice.

Blade replacement

Carry out the following operations:
Disconnect the air hose from the shear body.
Remove the front cover (17) by unscrewing the two screws (18).
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves, manually close the blades (4-8) and insert the pin (12) as you can see in the picture
E.
Unlock the conrod (11).
As soon as you free the conrod (11), it will automatically get back into the shear body (2), so it is important to
keep your hands at a distance.
Unscrew the screws (8).
Remove the blade group (4-6) and replace it.
NOTE: To re-assemble the blade group (4-6) carry out the above-mentioned operations in reverse.

Disassembling the pneumatic piston

Carry out the following operations:
Disconnect the air hose from the shear body (2).
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves, then close the blades (4-6) manually and insert the pin (10) as you can see in
the picture E.
Unlock the conrod (11) by removing its pin (9).
As soon as you free the conrod (11), it will automatically get back into the shear body (2), so it is important to
keep your hands at a distance.
Clamp the blade group (4-6) in the vice.
By means of a key turn the extension pole connection (15) anti-clockwise.
Remove the piston (11) and the spring (12). If it is necessary, replace the seal (13) unscrewing the nut (14).
NOTE: To re-assemble the piston (11) carry out the above-mentioned operations in reverse order.
In case of piston seal (13) replacement, while re-assembling lock the nut (14) by means of Loctite 270 or similar.
