3.7 Safety devices

Active safety device (23): is inserted automatically when releasing the operating lever (24) and prevents from accidental
tool working.
Handle (22) guard: assures the lever (24) is not accidentally moved out of place.

- INSTALLATION AND CONTROLS BEFORE THE USE

4.1 Installing the tool on the extension

Mount the extension (35) or (36) on the tool (turn it clockwise). Screw it on the attachment (12) until it is secured in place.
To take it off, turn it counter-clockwise.
Make sure the air filter (27) located on the fitting (26) is clean and correctly installed.
NOTE
This operation must be performed with the tool disconnected from the power source.

4.2 Connection to the air supply

Make sure the safety catch (23) is engaged.
Set the pressure to 6-8 bar.
Check the filter for condition; clean it if necessary.
Connect the supply hose to the fitting (26) having first made sure that the fitting is thoroughly clean. The inside diameter
must be at least 6 mm.
NOTE
Make sure the air hose is in perfect condition: it should not be bent or nicked in any way.
Keep air lubrication to minimum by using SAE 10 oil. When necessary fill up the lubricator located on the com-
pressor.

4.3 Control devices

To start the beating rake, the safety catch (23) must be kept in its forward position. Press the control lever (24).
To stop the tool, release the control lever (24).
