Definitions

"Place setting" means a set of tableware in-
tended for use by one person, excluding ser-
ving dishes.
"Operating cycle" means a complete clea-
ning, rinsing and drying cycle, depending on
the selected programme, covering a series of
operations until the end of all activities.
"Programme duration" means the period from
the start of the selected programme, without
any preset time programmed by the user, until
the notification of the end of the programme,
from which point the user has access to the
tableware.
"Preset time" means a state in which the user
has postponed the start of the operating cy-
cle of the selected programme for a certain
period of time.

Safety notices

In this chapter, you will fi nd general sa-
fety notices which you must always ob-
serve for your own protection and that of
third parties. Please also pay attention to
the warnings in individual chapters on in-
stallation and operation, etc.

Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or death.
■ Only use the appliance indoors. Do
not use in wet rooms or in the rain.
■ Do not operate or continue to opera-
te the appliance if
– it exhibits visible damage, e.g. the
connector cable is defective, the
control panel is cracked or the door
function is impaired.
– it starts smoking or there is a smell
of burning.
– it makes unfamiliar noises.
In these cases, you should pull the
mains plug out of the socket or switch
off/unscrew the fuse and have the
appliance repaired (see "Service" on
page EN-38).
■ The appliance corresponds to pro-
tection class I and may only be
connected to a plug with a protecti-
ve conductor that has been properly
installed. Ensure that the voltage is
correct when connecting it. More de-
tailed information about this can be
found on the nameplate.
