Dishwasher operation
Before getting started
• Read chapter "Safety" from page EN-3, in
particular the safety instructions.
• Set up and connect the appliance as de-
scribed in chapter "Set-up, connection and
initial start-up" from page EN-29.
• Refill dishwasher detergents, rinse aids
and dishwasher salts or multi-tabs.
Preparation
1. Open the tap completely.
2. Close the dishwasher door.
3. Press the
button (18) to switch on the
dishwasher.
You will hear a signal tone and all LEDs will
illuminate briefly.
After a short time, the programme display
reading ECO (1) will show.
Protecting the environment
– The ECO programme is the most efficient
programme for cleaning normally soiled
dishes in terms of combined energy and
water consumption.
– If you keep to the maximum specified capa-
city when loading your appliance and you
arrange the dishes correctly, energy and
water can be saved (see "Loading the dis-
hwasher" on page EN-17).
– Manual pre-rinsing of the dishes leads to
higher water and energy consumption and
is not recommended.
– Cleaning dishes in your appliance generally
uses less energy and water than washing
by hand, provided you follow the instruc-
tions in the user manual.
Selecting the dishwashing
programme
It is recommended that you carry out a
test run before the first dishwasher cyc-
le in order to remove residues from the manu-
facturing process and in order to ensure that
the appliance functions perfectly. Carry out
this test run when the dishwasher is empty
and without any dishwasher detergent.
1. Select the suitable dishwashing program-
me based on the "Dishwasher programme
table", see page EN-21.

2. Press the P button (13) as often as requi-
red until the display shows the desired
programme symbol (1) and the program-
me duration (6).
3. For the washing programme, if you wish
– to make further adjustments, continue
with "Additional options".
– to launch it, continue with „Starting the
dishwashing programme" on page EN-24.
Additional options
You can combine the various dishwashing
programmes with additional options. The ad-
ditional options must be selected before star-
ting the dishwashing programme.
