Points to remember

If work relevant to safety is carried out incorrectly, this could impair the operating safety of your
vehicle. You could lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident. In addition, the safety
systems may no longer be able to protect you or others as they are designed to do.
Always have maintenance work carried out at a qualified specialist workshop. The workshop must
have the necessary specialist knowledge and tools to carry out the work required. Mercedes-
Benz recommends that you use a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre for this purpose. In particular,
work relevant to safety or on safety-related systems must be carried out at a qualified specialist
workshop.
Warning and indicator lamps in switches and buttons
Problem
The seat ventilation*
has switched off pre-
maturely or cannot be
switched on.
The seat heating* has
switched off prema-
turely or cannot be
switched on.
The warning lamp on
the sport button of the
dynamic handling pack-
age with sports mode*
is lit.
When you press the
¿ button on the
control panel for
Thermatic 2-zone auto-
matic climate control/
Thermotronic luxury 3-
zone automatic climate
control*, the indicator
lamp in the button
flashes three times or
remains off. The cool-
ing system cannot be
switched on.
Possible causes/consequences and M M Solutions
The on-board voltage is too low, because too many consumers are
switched on.
Switch off consumers that are not required, e.g. rear window

If you select comfort mode and the indicator lamp does not go out,
the dynamic handling package with sports mode* is faulty.
